In the spring of 2023, we traveled to the Atacama Desert in Chile and the Bolivian altiplano. It was a similar, but not identical, itinerary to our 2017 trip. This time, we extended ahead of time and visited Rapa Nui - also known as Easter Island. Bolivia and Chile have some very striking scenery at very high altitude (we slept at 14,000ft), and also several geothermic features.
