In March, 2023, we took a long-awaited trip to visit Antarctica. We traveled with Aurora Expeditions, aboard the Sylvia Earle, whose unique design made the dreaded Drake Passage at least bearable.

It was a long trip, with many remarkable sites, including South George Island and the Malvinas/Falklands. The weather was mostly wonderful - we never experienced sub-freezing temperatures. And there were only 2 times when we even saw another ship in the distance. Amazing sense of isolation.
