In the early summer of 2019, we traveled to northern Chile to see our second total eclipse of the sun. We stayed in a camp in the area around La Serena, with a magnificent views and clear skies.

That's a long way to go for 2 minutes of darkness, so we also spent a bit of time in Peru, visiting the highlands arround Cusco. We stayed in Ollantaytambo and revisited the impressive Incan ruins, along with the Moray site (11,500 ft altitude), and the Maras salt mines (10,000 ft altitude).
