In the fall of 2015, we traveled to Malayasia and Indonesia. Kuala Lumpur is the business hub, but there was not much to see and smoke from Indonesian fires made for very hazy air.
The real focus of the trip was visiting Malaysian Borneo, part of the Sabah province. It was extremely hot and humid, but fascinating to experience.
The final leg was a cruise on the Ombak Putih, 42-meter sailboat that sleeps 24. We left from Bali (after an air travel snafu), and toured through the Indonesian islands until reaching Flores. There was spectacular snorkeling and interesting villages to visit. Of course, the highlight was Komodo National Park - home to the rare Komodo Dragon.
