We started out our trip by joining up with our friends Christie and Bill in Ravenna.
Known for its mosaics, Ravenna certainly delivered. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We've been to a number of UNESCO sites,
and they're never short of amazing.
Then, we visited the food-centric city of Bologna. Bologna also has a stunning unique architecture, with porticos everywhere.
We took a food tour that demonstrated how Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto are made - fascinating and delicious!
And, of course, we had to finish up with a stay in Tuscany, specifically Siena. Great weather and great friends, a marvelous trip.
