In the fall of 2025, we visited southern Spain - Andalusia. The main focus of the trip was riding a restored 1920s train, Al-Andalus, enjoying the culture, food and wine of various cities in southern Spain. We certainly met the food and wine goal.

While the train is small capacity, only 64 people, it's very long - over 1/4 mile. We traveled with a sub-group of 10 friends from the US, and organized by New Path Expeditions.

The train trip started in Granada, and after 6 days arrived in Sevilla. We extended a bit at the kickoff point of Madrid, and again at the termination in Sevilla. Besides the wonderful food and drink, we also had the chance to see two trained horse exhibitions and two flamenco shows.
